Auto suggestion & Meditation

The first time I read and was truly interested in auto suggestion was through the book by Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich. This book had in spirit suggested that if you want to attain something in the physical realm, you first had to internally see yourself having obtained it at this very moment in time. And you do this by training your subconscious through auto suggestion to build faith in attaining it.

I thought this was an exceptional idea. But like most things, this thrilling concept to me, remained a theory in my head which I thought to be beautiful. Yet, things changed over the past two months. I decided to incorporate auto suggestion into my meditation sessions.

Auto suggestion through meditation is achieved through:
-Visualization in the first person

Whenever I meditate, I always try to evoke an emotion by firstly grounding- breathing slowly and visualizing my energy moving down into the ground and absorbing the earth`s energy- I then proceed by focusing on what I am feeling and how it is affecting me. This helps with channeling that emotion. Emotion plays a vital role in attracting and vibrating energies around us. It is what governs our reactions and responses in our daily routines, whether we are aware of it or not.

I often hear people say that whenever they meditate they end up falling asleep, and my response would be that, at least they can now avoid insomnia. The main ingredient with meditation is this, intention. You have to say to yourself that you are now ready to meditate for whatever duration you choose. Similar to going to the gym, if you have a gym goal and need to do cardio for 30 minutes, you have to intently do cardio for 30 minutes or else you will give up when your body gives up within less than that intended 30 minutes. This is the art of meditation.

Knowing what you want to attain also falls under intention. Thereby saying, before you embark on beginning with auto suggestion. Do you know what you want? This has to be a realistic goal- without greed or causing potential harm- you than may repeat it to yourself constantly. I will explain this further below.

Visualisation takes practice. I say this because, it is easy enough to visualize something in the third person but it takes time, patience and practice to visualize in the first person. Do not fall into the pit of also visualizing your goal on what other people think of you or how you want them to perceive you. Do this for you.

The above are my 3 key points of departure that I use during meditation, leading to my final stage which is gearing up for auto suggestion.

After you are relaxed and are grounded, breathing slowly and focusing on the now. Begin to see yourself- in the first person- having attained your goal or desire, pay attention to how having attained this goal or desire makes you feel. Then you can do one of two things: Speak to yourself repeatedly or record yourself and listen to it during meditation.

The first one is to repeatedly speak to yourself by saying “I AM___________” Not I want, or I need or I don’t want/need. Summon your desire by speaking to yourself as if it is there. The second is to record yourself prior your meditation session “I AM_________”. Once you have recorded yourself, place your affirmation on repeat and listen to yourself while breathing and visualizing yourself.

Using Crystals & Gemstones

I have acknowledged the countless requests from people asking me to tell them of ways to use their crystal and gemstone pendants after purchasing them from me. This led me to asking myself questions pertaining huge crystal and gemstones.

As striking and eye-catching as crystals and gemstones are, what do you do with those enormous ones you buy but cannot make a pendent with? This is the part that excites me about my occupation.

Before the execution of my business, I was merely buying crystals and gemstones because they were beautiful. Little did I know of the many uses they had besides sitting on my bedside.

From your highly expensive neck piece to your cost-efficient pendants. Crystals and gemstones make beautiful jewelry. Either for completing your outfit or attracting a particular energy to you.

Your chakras attract energy, and thus wearing or having a specific crystal or gemstones near you can amplify that energy. You have 7 major chakra centres of the physical body, where vibrant energy pours and interconnects. Through our chakras, we take in and spread energy.

Your root/base chakra is located at the base of your spin and this chakra attracts red and black stones. The second is your sacral chakra, located below the navel, this chakra attracts orange and blue-green stones. The third chakra is the solar plexus and is located below the breastbone, this chakra attracts yellow stones. The forth chakra is the heart and is located at the centre of the chest, this chakra attracts pink and green stones. The fifth chakra is the throat chakra and is located at the neck above the collar bone, this chakra attracts blue stones. The sixth chakra is the third eye, this chakra is located at the centre above the eyebrows, at medulla, and it attracts indigo stones. The seventh chakra is the crown chakra and is located at the top of the head, this chakra attracts violet/golden-white stones.

Knowing which chakra works well with which stone does help a lot.

Meditation is an excellent method to relax and quiet the many chatters that go on inside our heads throughout the day. Crystal quarts are therefore best stones to use while meditating. I personally form a circle using my quartz or wear my quartz pendent while meditating. Although, many other people would engage in different types of yoga which incorporate the usage of stones such as hatha yoga and tai chi ch`uan.

I have found that the smell of burning incense and/or smudging does not sit well with a lot of people consequently, using crystals and gemstones works perfectly in cleansing a room, environment or- going back to the chakras/ energy fields- the body.

I find it out most stimulating every time I do this because it works. Programming the crystal or gemstone. There are countless approaches to doing this but my favorite and easiest to do is to, first cleanse my stone by soaking it in sea salt water over night, the next morning, after washing my hands, run the stone through cold water, dry it than hold the crystal or gemstone between my hands. I than close my eyes and visualize the intention I wish the stone to activate and there! Your stone is programmed.

Using crystals and gemstones is in essence, you connecting with the earth and universe around and inside you. Keeping in mind that visualization, intention and faith play a major role in creating the environment you want while using crystals and gemstones.

I can personally testify that the year of 2015 has been an exceptional one because of this discovery. Hence, next time you are attracted to buying a crystal or gemstone, remember that it is possibly attracting you for your greater good.
